Fabrics for custom suits are often labeled with a “Super” count. You may have seen fabrics with a Super 100’s, 110’s, 120’s, 130’s, or higher count. This is a measurement of the yarn width which is used to construct the cloth. A Super 100’s for example, has a yarn width of 18 microns. A Super 150’s has a yarn width closer to 15.8 microns. Basically, the finer the yarn, the higher the Super count. The higher the Super count, the softer and more luxurious the fabric. Keep in mind, that a lawyer (for example) may want a hard wearing durable Super 100’s like Dormeuil’s Amadeus cloth. Dormeuil’s Amadeus cloth feels and looks luxurious, but is also hard wearing and resilient, so this will perform superbly in the rigorous world of courtroom brawling. For a wedding, you might want something finer like Dormeuil’s 15.8 cloth – pure luxury. Whatever you need in a custom suit, we will supply you with all the options that you request.
